1. Who this covers

These terms apply to dataforgetools.app and to DataForge Tools' desktop applications, currently CSV Studio (Free and Pro) and Magpie ("the Software"). By downloading, installing, or using the Software, or by using this website, you agree to these terms.

2. License to use the Software

DataForge Tools grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software on devices you own or control, for your own personal or internal business purposes. CSV Studio Free and Magpie are free to use. CSV Studio Pro's additional features unlock with a valid license key issued after a one-time purchase — that license covers your own use and does not need to be renewed or re-purchased.

You may not: redistribute or resell the installer or a license key; reverse engineer the Software except to the extent applicable law expressly permits; circumvent or tamper with license verification; or use the Software to build a directly competing product.

3. Your data stays yours

The Software is local-first. Files you open, edit, or convert in CSV Studio, and clipboard content captured by Magpie, are processed and stored on your own device and are not uploaded to DataForge Tools. We have no access to that content and make no claim to it.

4. Purchases

CSV Studio Pro is sold as a one-time purchase. Checkout, payment processing, invoicing, and tax are all handled by our payment provider, Paddle.com, who acts as merchant of record for the transaction — meaning your purchase is made with Paddle, under Paddle's own buyer terms, not directly with DataForge Tools. 5. No warranty

The Software and this website are provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the Software will be error-free or uninterrupted.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DataForge Tools will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Software or this website, including loss of data, profits, or business, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Software or a purchase will not exceed the amount you paid for CSV Studio Pro.

7. Intellectual property

The Software, its source code, design, and branding are owned by DataForge Tools and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of the Software to you beyond the limited license in Section 2.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Software or this website after an update means you accept the revised terms. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
